Mitsubishi is one of the leading Japanese automobile manufacturing companies has recently announced its upcoming all-new 2016 Mitsubishi Eclipse. For those who don’t know about the car, it is a sporty version of Eclipse Spyder with an innovative and futuristic look.
Exterior and Interior Details
The design of the new 2016 Mitsubishi Eclipse showcases futuristic view. Some important additions are made in this version such as the headlamps and the taillights are been modified to give that sleek finish to the car. The use of light which is LED technology enable makes it more futuristic. Also, an additional pair of water intake pipes with a new triangular shape is installed along with a pair of two oval pipes for exhaust outlet. The exterior of the car is made attractive by muscular construction of panels of aluminum that are extremely lightweight. As a result, the overall weight of the vehicle is drastically reduced making it more powerful and fuel efficient. Another feature added to the exteriors is a sporty roof line that gradually descends to small and rounded spoilers placed at the back end. The front grille is also modified and given more curves and grooves. The cabin is styled more luxuriously that its predecessor and is crammed with loads of new and exciting features like any other petrol variant.
The interiors of the vehicle are also modified. They now come in exciting new range of color combinations. The quality of seats, dashboard, and steering wheel is also improved and the steering wheel is covered in high quality leather.
Engine and Mileage of 2016 Mitsubishi Eclipse
There are two different variants of the new 2016 Mitsubishi Eclipse engine available for both diesel and petrol lovers. One is the basic model- 2.4 liters giving 165 horsepower and a torque of 162pound/ft. with the fuel consumption is 20-28 mpg depending upon the drive (city or highway). The second option is 3.8 liters V6 engine with 265 horsepower of output and a torque of 262 pound/ft.
Both of the engines variants come with the facility of dual clutch with six speed transmission that is automatic or a five speed transmission that is on other hand is manual.
Price and Release Date of 2016 Mitsubishi Eclipse
The rumor is that 2016 Mitsubishi Eclipse will be launched in early 2016. The vehicle is estimated to be priced in between $22,000 – $30,000. The price varies with the choice of accessories.
