The vehicle is 177.5inches long with a height of 50.8 inches and width of 72.9 inches. Its wheelbase is 96.5 inches. The basic shape of the vehicle has been preserved, which certainly does not make it uninteresting. In fact, the Targa look is so majestic that many heads turn only when they spot a Targa on the road. Hence, similarity in the design is only a positive feature. The special 20-inch alloy wheels make the car appear imposing and full of attitude. The front has the typical sports car look with a fine sloping hood flanked by raised headlights. The air intakes are black in color and the logos have a black finish. Being AWD (all-wheel drive) the Targa 4 GTS has rear fenders, which are wider in appearance than that of the standard 911 model.

Similarly, the upholstery is made of Alcantara – a material with the look and feel of leather but weighs much lesser.

Engine and Mileage of 2016 Porsche 911 Targa

As promised by the carmaker, the actual difference boils down to the power. The 4 GTS, which is an all-wheel drive, is equipped by a flat engine with a capacity of 3.8 liters. It is expected to generate 430 horsepower and a torque of 325 lb.ft. By calculation, this amount of power is 30hp more than what Targa 4S is capable of delivering. Porsche has made sure that the car picks up speed in the least amount of time and with due research has managed to cause it to accelerate to 60 mph in a matter of 4.5 seconds. The 7-speed manual transmission gets the credit in part for this acheivement and it can make it run smoothly at the maximum of 188mph. For those, who wish to go further in speed, they should opt for the Targa 4 GTS with PDK dual clutch automatic technology, which picks up the same amount of speed in just 4.1 seconds. Its maximum speed is 187mph. Its mpg has not yet been declared.
