According to the allegations themselves PlayStation blog the company announced how users can expect their consoles to get VRR functionality at some point this week.
So, all those who have TVs or monitors with HDMI 2.1 input will finally be able to experience the gaming charms brought by VRR. Let us remind you, this is a technology that enables a smooth display of the image without artifacting during gaming. No more splitting the screen image and no frame dynamics issues. In addition, VRR should further reduce the input lag that occurs when using a gamepad with a wireless connection, which is another welcome change.
However, there is one small catch, and that is that VRR support will not appear in all video games available on the PlayStation 5 console, but only in certain ones, which are currently:

- Destiny 2
- Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition

- Good fall

However, this is just the beginning, so Sony promises that many more titles will receive VRR support in the coming period. Once your console receives a new operating system upgrade, Variable Refresh Rate support will automatically be included in all supported video games if your console is connected to a compatible monitor or TV via the HDMI 2.1 port.
In addition, users will be able to try to turn on VRR in those video games that do not fully support it at the moment, which can lead to improved visual display. Of course, the results will be different depending on which TV you use. All in all, very good news for gamers.
