Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram are DOWN

Facebook, Instagram WhatsApp are DOWN Again!

(Updated October 08, 2021) Users of the social networks Instagram and Facebook again had a problem with posting and refreshing the pages.

These two social networks again had problems with work, only a few days after the applications did not work for several hours.

This malfunction lasted just over an hour, and the number of problem reports primarily for Instagram was growing.

Facebook previously stated through its Twitter account that they were “aware that users have problems accessing applications.”

“We are working to get things back to normal as soon as possible, we apologize,” the company said.

Users around the world complain that they have problems accessing Facebook and other social networks.

The Downdetector page shows a large number of reports related to the problem when accessing Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook Messenger.

“We are aware that some users have problems with Vocap at the moment,” it is stated in the message on the official Twitter profile of the platform.

In the meantime, the company announced that it knew about the user’s problem and that it was working on fixing the fault as soon as possible.

It has happened before that Facebook applications “fall”, but mostly to a maximum of 10 to 15 minutes. It now lasts more than an hour, which has already happened once – in June 2019. At that time, all applications were in decline for more than an hour, and Facebook justified that with a “technical” problem.

The decline in social networks could affect a large number of users, and the AFP agency stated that users in densely populated areas around Washington in the United States and Paris in France were the first to complain about the problems.

“We are working to get things back to normal and we will inform the public very soon how we are progressing,” the statement added.

What happened to Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram

Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram have been unavailable for almost six hours for their users, but some of the networks are slowly returning to function. This led to a drop in Facebook shares. Bloomberg estimates the damage is $7 billion

For the entire six hours, Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp were completely unavailable! That is something that never happened before.

And while the internet community around the world has been amused by theorizing what could be the cause of the crash – from hackers to human error, the company’s reputation has suffered greatly. The shares immediately fell sharply, but the real effects of what happened during the hitherto unnoticed six hours without Facebook will only be seen in the coming period.

In the meantime, the company announced that it knew about the user’s problem and that it was working on fixing the fault as soon as possible.

It has happened before that Facebook applications “fall”, but mostly to a maximum of 10 to 15 minutes, while now, social networks have not worked for almost six hours.

According to media reports, the personal data of 1.5 billion Facebook users were allegedly sold on a popular hacker forum.
