According to the British media, the next generation of Mazda’s MX-5 roadster (internal NEs) by Japanese car manufacturer will most likely arrive in 2024.

What attracts attention are the announcements that the new MX-5 will be powered by a four-cylinder SkyActiv-X engine, with a 48V mild hybrid system due to reduced consumption to meet stricter emission regulations.
It should be a 2.0-liter SkyActiv-X engi NE that will provide up to 30 percent more torque compared to the equivalent SkyActiv-G 2.0 engine, as well as up to 30 percent lower consumption.
This will apparently be the only engine in the range of the new MX-5, along with a standard manual transmission. In the new generation, Mazda will focus on as little weight as possible, which is why the new MX-5 will not get a plug-in hybrid or fully electric drive.
Exterior and Interior
In terms of exterior, you should expect an evolution of the design, with a refined front grille and LED lights, but all this will not make the new Mazda MX-5 2024 too aggressive.
