Netflix has released the official trailer for “Borgen – Power and Glory”, the new, fourth season of the award-winning Danish political drama series, which originally ended its three seasons almost ten years ago.
Starring Sidse regulars Babett Knudsen and Birgitte Hjort Sorensen with Mikkel Boe Folsgaard, Simon Bennebjerg, Lars Mikkelsen and Magnus Millang, the acclaimed drama created by Adam Price returns for a fourth season and is found by Danish Foreign Minister Nyborg Birg. a tense political crisis in which her career was in jeopardy.

The plot of the series in brief
BORGEN – POWER AND GLORY deals with some of the greatest political issues of our time; the importance of the Kingdom of Denmark in the modern world, the battle of superpowers for control of the Arctic – and no less important, the climate crisis. The main story focuses on the struggle for power and on what power does to people – both professionally and on a personal level. The struggle for power – or the struggle to retain power – challenges and changes characters and Birgitte Nyborg, Katrine Fonsmark and other central characters are forced to admit that their desire for ‘control’ is in danger of corrupting them and denying them their humanity and sense of integrity.
Nyborg is the newly appointed foreign minister when a drilling company suddenly discovers oil in Greenland. An event that marks the beginning of the international power struggle in the Arctic, which is developing in eight episodes of the series. An otherwise experienced politician, Nyborg, must repeatedly accept that, despite Denmark’s ‘big brother’ relationship with Greenland, when it comes to international superpowers, Denmark is a minor player – and a bit naughty…
