A well-known name in the world of car tuning, Brabus, could also switch to motorcycles business.
This is suggested by the fact that the name Brabus 1300 R is registered in the European Patent Office.
The source of this information is the German Motorrad, which states that Brabus is working on its own version of the KTM 1290 Super Duke RR motorcycle, whose main feature will be additional weight reduction.
According to Motorrad, the motorcycle will remain similar to the original model in terms of specifications, but it will be as much as 5 kg lighter than it.
How much truth there is in all this remains to be seen, but it also makes sense. Brabus is known for making high-performance cars even better and more expensive.
According to information available from the EU Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), Brabus applied for name registration in August and said it was 100 % motorcycle-related.
The process ended on November 24, so there are no legal obstacles to seeing the name Brabus 1300 R in the future.
