In this new adaptation, Ryan Kiera Armstrong (from “The Tomorrow War” and “American Horror Story: Double Feature”) plays Charlie, a young girl haunted by a dark government agency after developing dangerous pyrokinetic powers (the ability to control heat and fire through the mind). ).

Produced by Blumhouse, the film was directed by Keith Thomas, director of the Jewish supernatural horror thriller “The Vigil”. The screenplay was written by Halloween Kills screenwriter Scott Teems.
Legendary horror film director and composer John Carpenter (Halloween) will give the original music for the film, working again with his son musician Cody Carpenter and frequent music collaborator Daniel Davies.

For more than a decade, parents Andy (Zac Efron) and Vicky (Sydney Lemmon) have been on the run, desperate to hide their daughter Charlie (Ryan Kiera Armstrong) from a shadowy federal agency that wants to use her unprecedented gift to create a firearm of weapons of mass destruction. Andy taught Charlie how to mitigate his power, driven by anger or pain. But as Charlie turns 11, the fire is getting harder to control.
