Earlier this month, we got our first real look at live phone photos Galaxy S22 Ultra, the “premium” device with the most functions in the upcoming Galaxy S22 line. Now, a new leak has focused all our attention on the phone’s camera hardware.
Galaxy S22 Ultra camera
According to the known Samsung tipster IceUniverse, The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will have a quadruple camera on the back, consisting of a 108MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and a 10MP periscope telephoto unit with 10x optical zoom.
According to the tipster, the main camera uses an improved version of the 108MP ISOCELL HM3 sensor with an aperture of f / 1.8, focal length 1 / 1.33 and 0.8mm. 10 MP telephoto and periscope cameras also use newer Sony sensors. However, their zoom capabilities remain the same: the periscope offers a 10x optical zoom, while the telephoto lens has a 3x optical zoom. Finally, the ultra-wide 12 MP camera is seemingly unchanged from the previous model.
The essence of the zoom camera corresponds to a previous report by GalaxyClub, which claimed that the Galaxy S22 Ultra will use the same zoom cameras as last year’s model.
The Galaxy S22 Ultra may not see any major camera upgrades this time around, but its smaller siblings, the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus, are getting some drastic camera improvements. According to previous reports, both phones will have a 50MP GN5 primary sensor.

Galaxy S22 Ultra release date
The Galaxy S22 will reportedly be launched in early 2022. According to renowned tipster John Proser, the South Korean smartphone giant will hold the Galaxy Unpacked event on February 6, 2022 where it will present the new Galaxy trio.

The expected cost for a new Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra are between $1,199- $1,299.
