Ghostbusters: Afterlife is once again being presented with a new subtitled trailer and seems like a real treat for younger fans as well as for us, the old, nostalgic people of the original 1984 movie.
The director of the movie is Jason Reitman (Juno) and in the trailer we meet Callie (Coon) and her children, Phoebe (Grace) and Trevor (Wolfhard) who are obsessed with science, moving to a small place in Oklahoma where they don’t know anyone because they are they had to move to their old grandfather’s farm. But when they get there, they discover their connection to the first team of Ghostbusters who have become a myth because many have forgotten about events from the past. They will be helped by their professor (Rudd), who was a child during the “events in Manhattan” from 1984 when the plot of the first movie took place.
Starring McKenna Grace (Captain Marvel, Annabelle Comes Home), Carrie Coon (The Leftovers), Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things, IT) and Paul Rudd (Avengers: Endgame), Sigourney Weaver (Alien), Annie Potts (Toy) Story 4), Dan Aykroyd (Get On Up), Ernie Hudson (Oz) and Bill Murray (Zombieland).
According to the director, this is not a reboot of the franchise, but a sequel that builds on the first two original films.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife Release Date
Ghostbusters: Afterlife had a long way to go to the cinema screens due to the global pandemic. The first trailer was released in 2019 because the film was supposed to come out in 2020. Sony Pictures has remained true to its principles of not showing its films on streaming services but exclusively in cinemas. So after three delays, we can expect the new Ghostbusters; Afterlife on November 19, 2021, in the United States cinemas.
