GoPro Hero10 Black Specs

In most cases, Hero 10 can shoot at twice the frame rate of Hero 9. It can now shoot at 5.3K at 60fps and can shoot at 4K at 120 frames per second and 2.7K at 240fps.

The Hero10 Black is also capable of 1080p live streaming with HyperSmooth 4.0.

There are three ways to transfer video or photo content: Cloud Upload, Wireless Offload, and transfer to your smartphone by cable. It also has a removable, rechargeable battery.

Beside the battery cover is a microSD card slot and USB-C port. The latter is used for charging, but it can also be used to directly transfer footage to your Hero 10 Black via wired transfer. Android phones need a USB-C to USB-C cable, and iPhones need the Apple Lightning-to-USB camera adapter, plus a standard USB-A to USB-C cable.

Other features include raw capture, Night Lapse Video mode, SuperPhoto + HDR and HindSight, LiveBurst, Scheduled Capture, and Duration Capture options.

GoPro says the increase in performance is due to the camera’s new GP2 processor, which is the successor to the GP1 chip used in cameras since Hero 6 Black. GP2 also allows the Hero 10 to be similar to the smartphone in several ways, from a very sensitive touch screen to heavy video processing that works with things like local tone mapping and improved noise reduction.

The still photos of the camera are from 20MP to 23MP, with still frames from the video is 19.6MP when shooting in the camera’s 5K 4:3 mode and 15.8MP when shooting in the 5.3K60 mode.
