The studio gave a teaser of what can be expected in the second year, and the first is a few interesting additions. Hitman 3 game gets the Elusive Target arcade – which allows for endless playing of Elusive Target missions – as well as support for virtual reality and Ray tracing on PC in early 2022. New maps, stories, mods and more are also in the works in the studio, plus some surprise features based on that standard story “the community has been looking for a very, very long time.”

As for the implementation of VR on the computer, it seems to be an upgraded version compared to the currently available PlayStation VR version, at least according to the short clips seen in the announcement video above. On the PSVR, players were limited to using DualShock controllers, but on the PC, the video shows developers using index motion controllers and Rift S to interact with weapons.

Hitman 3 – Year 2 release date

Hitman 3 – Year 2 should start on January 20, 2022, with 12 months of additional support for all platforms. The studio is also planning a major update to the game in the spring of 2022, with more details later. Find more information on the official website IO Interactive.
