The filming of the spinoff to the worldwide popular series “Game of Thrones” now titled: “House of the Dragon” began in March this year 2021, and new photos from the set have been leaked.
The “House of the Dragon” series, as announced, will follow the time before the events in the HBO Game of Thrones series, which was the first broadcast in 2011.
The new series will deal with the Targaryen family, and the first shots are being shot in Northern Ireland.
(Updated October 5, 2021) The new part of the popular series will deal with the story of the rise and glory of the Targaryen ancestors, but also their, eventual fall.
Set in the period around 200 years before the fall of the Iron Throne, the show will tell the story of a series of kings who ruled Westeros before Robert Baratheon took the throne and finally started the events from GOT.
The trailer does not reveal too much, but it shows us through scenes of members of the Targaryen family and the famous motto of the family:
“Gods, kings, fire, and blood. Dreams didn’t make us kings, Dragons did.”
The original series “Game of Thrones” met with criticism after the final season and the way in which the screenwriters decided to end the story that the whole world was attached.
