Huawei Freebuds 4 Features

The box, which is now circular in shape, looks firmer, which is especially noticeable with the lid mechanism. However, it is not round from all sides. The front and back are flat, rounded only at the ends, so it is easier to carry in a pocket.

At the bottom is a USB-C charging port, on the right is an almost imperceptible button (as with the more affordable model) for connecting to other devices, and on the front is a small LED in the shape of a dot where the color indicates the amount of battery.

Although they are very comfortable to wear, due to the shape that is without pads, they are not for everyone’s ear shape. Those who have used in-ear headphones before know that these will also fit comfortably. However, for some people, such headphones fall out, especially if they play sports while wearing them, so that should be kept in mind.

That is why they are very light and comfortable and come in white and silver, which was tested in our country. You can immediately see that it looks great and if it matters to someone, there are no prints left on the matte box.

Unlike FreeBuds 4i and Pro, FreeBuds 4 are “open design,” meaning they lack the silicone ends that enter the ear canals, leaving the ear canals half-open. This certainly does not go in favor of canceling the noise and the question is how much such a cancellation on this design makes sense, however, Huawei states that it also has how.

That’s why they integrated “Second Generation Automatic Noise Canceling” (ANC 2.0) into these headphones, which means that small internal microphones emit sound waves at certain frequencies and thus cancel out external noise. According to the company, this model, it is better now than on the previous ones, because instead of one microphone, two are now used, and in practice – it is possible if the ear shell suits such a design.

Huawei Freebuds 4 Sound Quality

What will surely mean to anyone who is considering whether this pair of headphones is worth paying attention to, should know that the sound is flawless, and a little even fuller than with the more affordable model, as well as that the signal between the phone and the headphones is flawless. With the additional installation of the AI life application, you get a complete experience.

If you are a supporter of stable sound, with the voice in the foreground, Freebuds 4 is for you. Over the course of a few weeks, we tested a variety of different music genres with occasional podcasts, a YouTube video, and a watched episode of the series. That was enough to make them realize that they offer clear and meaningful sound without using too much bass.

It was a special pleasure that the voice was clear during the call. The headphones also have the ability to block annoying background sounds such as typing on the keyboard.

As soon as you put the headphones in your ear, the accompanying sound notifies you that the headphones are connected.

You can also use them individually, which can be handy if you want to share what you’re listening to with someone. Removing one of the headphones from the ear automatically pauses any playback.

One of the main features of these headphones is the instant connection to two devices. So, in addition to your phone, you can also connect them to your laptop or watch from the new Huawei Watch 3 family. By connecting a watch headset from the Watch 3 series, you can also listen to music, and all the features of Huawei’s combination of these two products can be used equally by both iOS and Android users.

Although more and more headphones on the market are touch-sensitive, the possibility of touch control with Freebuds 4 is really great. Each handset has a double touch and long press movement, as well as a vertical swipe to adjust the volume. A very simple option and an intuitive move that no other manufacturer has.

Just an Average battery that does the job

When it comes to battery life, if you charge Freebuds 4 on Monday, you won’t think about charging until Wednesday or Thursday with sporadic use. For an additional 15 minutes of charging, you get about an additional two hours of music, and they will be fully charged in about half an hour.

The new model is definitely an improvement over last year, and if you are a user who likes the classic shape of headphones with decent autonomy and a high degree of control over capabilities, then Freebuds 4 is the model for you.
