Stellantis’ financial report also states that the Fiat brand will become completely electric in Europe from 2027.
As part of that strategy, the offer of the Italian brand will be enriched with another, currently unknown electric model in 2022 or 2023. The financial report does not offer any other details about Stellantis’ future plans for the Fiat brand.
The company states that the 500e in 2021 was the best-selling EV in the A-segment, which are mostly small city cars, in 12 countries around the world. Global sales for small EVs were around 44,000 units.

Last year, Fiat boss Olivier Francois spoke about plans for the brand’s future. “We are exploring the territory of sustainable mobility for all: this is our biggest project. Between 2025 and 2030, our product line will gradually become only electric. “This will be a radical change for Fiat,” said Francois.
In order for increased electrification to happen, Stellantis will invest over 35 billion dollars by 2025 in electrification. Part of the money will transform the Mirafiori factory in Turin, Italy, into a production center for electric vehicles. The carmaker is also investing money in a location in Termoli for the production of lithium-ion batteries.
