Jaguar will not introduce new models until 2025

Jaguar announced in June that from 2025, will focus more on all-electric cars, it will position Jaguar in a higher market segment, as part of the “Reimagine” strategy set by Jaguar Land Rover CEO Thierry Bollore.

As Bollore discovered during an interview with Auto Express, the cheapest new Jaguar will start at close to £100,000 or around $130,000, approaching Bentley territory and moving away from its current rivals Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz.

The new model range will have two electric crossovers and a sports coupe with two doors.

Meanwhile, Jaguar has confirmed that it will not introduce new products until 2025, which means that it will rely on the current range of models, as well as simplify the offer of engines and equipment.

Speaking about the current range (consisting of Jaguar XE and XF sedans, Jaguar E-Pace, F-Pace and Jaguar I-Pace SUVs, as well as the Jaguar F-Type sports car), Bollore says they are beautiful cars, but potential buyers choose Audi or BMW models instead, which is due to brand positioning. Changing Jaguar’s position in a competitive market will not be an easy task. The new CEO acknowledged that they need to improve the brand image by addressing quality and reliability issues in previous years.
