The streaming series is based on the 2020 Wondery podcast about the true story of the crime of Joe Exotic (known as the Tiger King) and his enemy Carole Baskin, which was the subject of a popular Netflix documentary 2020 and other countless podcasts and news.
The limited edition Peacock, created and written by Ethan Frankel (Shameless), describes a fierce and increasingly destructive quarrel between Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin.

JOE vs CAROLE is a screenplay adaptation of the 2020 Wondery podcast “Joe Exotic: Tiger King,” hosted and reported by Robert Moor. The limited series will focus on Carole Baskin, a big cat lover, who learns that fellow exotic animal lover Joe “Exotic” Schreibvogel breeds and uses his big cats for profit. She intends to end his venture, fomenting a rapidly escalating rivalry. But Carole has her own checkered past and when the claws are thrown out, Joe won’t stop at anything to expose what he sees as her hypocrisy. The results are dangerous.
