2021 NBA Draft Winners
The NBA draft lottery decided that the first pick of the NBA Draft 2021 goes to Detroit Pistons for the first time since 1970.
The 19 years old point guard Cade Cunningham who played college basketball for the Oklahoma State Cowboys is expected to be the first pick and will apparently do the tryouts only with the Pistons.
In addition to Detroit, the big winners of the 2021 NBA lottery are Orlando Magic and Golden State Warriors will have as many as two in the first 14.
As for Magic, they are in an even better situation because they will choose from the fifth and eighth position. The first five are rounded off by Houston, Cleveland, and Toronto, which were awarded after an extremely hard season.
2021 NBA Draft Losers
The pick sent by Minnesota to the Wiggins-Russell trade means that Minnesota Timberwolves will not have a pick in the first round of the draft, also Miami Heat, Portland Trail Blazers, Dallas Mavericks, don’t have any pick in this year draft that makes them big time losers, and Chicago Bulls (only the second round pick).
2021 NBA Draft Date
The 2021 NBA draft will be held on July 29, 2021, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. It is the 75th edition of the draft.
