The new generation of Ford’s multifunctional vehicle was built in cooperation with the manufacturer from Wolfsburg, 2022 Ford Tourneo Connect.
Two years ago, Ford and Volkswagen announced cooperation in the development and production of commercial vehicles and vans, and a cooperation agreement was soon made official.
The new 2022 Ford Tourneo Connect is the fruit of that agreement. The model based on the current Volkswagen Caddy will arrive in European showrooms in early 2022, and the first deliveries to customers are planned for the spring.
Exterior Specs

The similarity of the Caddy and Tourneo Connect models is obvious, especially on the sides and rear, while the difference is greatest on the front of the vehicle, which is adorned with a large Ford grille and the distinctive “blue oval” emblem.
The headlights are also different, with integrated C-shaped LED daytime running lights.
Customers will be able to choose between three equipment packages: 2022 Ford Tourneo Connect Sport, Titanium, and Trend, and Ford will also offer a “cross” version with the Active label, as it did on the Fiesta and Focus models.
The Active variant will, as is usual with similar models, have protective accessories on the lower parts of the body and less stylistic differences on the exterior.

2022 Ford Tourneo Connect Interior
The interior is also similar to the interior of the VW Caddy, and it is assumed that the multimedia device was taken from that vehicle since Ford does not mention its SYNC system in the promotional material.
The base version will have an 8.25-inch display, and the Titanium, Sport, and Active are equipped with a larger, 10-inch screen. A 10.25-inch digital instrument panel is also available as an option.

Engine
The engines under the hood have also been taken over from Volkswagen, although Ford uses its EcoBoost and EcoBlue labels, which is often the case when one manufacturer donates powertrains to another.
The petrol engine is a 4-cylinder 1.5 with 114 hp (84 kW) and 220 Nm, while the 2.0 diesel, also with 4 cylinders, is available in two options, with 112 hp (82 kW) and 280 Nm, and 122 hp (90 kW) and 320 Nm.
All engines are mated to a 6-speed manual transmission as standard, and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission is available at an additional cost.
The important news is that for the first time, the Tourneo Connect will also be available in an all-wheel-drive version, and only with a more powerful diesel with a manual transmission.
As before, customers will be able to choose between a shorter and longer body variant and options with 5 and 7 seats.
