When KTM announced the start of its February promotional campaign for new Naked models, we were very excited. We were expecting to see some exciting new models.
Unfortunately, the first novelty was the 890 Duke R with a new color in the base offer, taken right from the 1290 Super Duke R motorcycle. On the mechanical side, everything remained unchanged – the same engine and the same specifications as in the previous generation.

We were hoping for better news when it comes to the second motorcycle factory from Matighofen, but the new 890 Duke GP did not meet our expectations. Although it wears a GP badge, the new two-wheeler is just a slightly tidier variant of the basic 890 Duke. It is characterized by the lack of a passenger seat and graphics inspired by the MotoGP championship.

Of the other “newspapers”, we single out the orange-colored wheels and the rear subframe.
Like the 890 Duke R model, the specifications remain unchanged. The 889 cc two-cylinder LC8 engine delivers 115 hp and 92 Nm of maximum torque.

The 890 Duke GP also features the same WP Apex suspension, a six-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU) that controls a wide range of electronic functions, including cornering control, ABS and various operating modes.
2022 KTM 890 Duke GP cost
Expected price for a new 2022 KTM 890 Duke GP motorcycle should be around 11,999.00 USD. Release date for this motorcycle sometimes in March 2022.
