New 2023 Kia Niro EV crossover price, release date

Kia is announcing the premiere of the second generation of the Niro model this week. On this occasion, pictures were published that suggest the appearance of an electric compact crossover. The premiere will be held at the Mobility Fair in Seoul.

Compared to the Kia HabaNiro concept from the New York Auto Show, the 2023 Kia Niro serial version will not have a door that opens vertically but a standard four-door, but the LED lights from the concept are retained.

The Kia Niro EV interior will be completely different than in Kia HabaNir and in line with Kia’s newer models. Separate air conditioning controls will be retained, which suits many drivers who do not want to search for these controls on central screens while driving.

As far as can be seen from these pictures, the cabin is very reminiscent of the solution from the EV6 model, all the way to the steering wheel. Niro will continue to use the platform originally intended for vehicles with SUS engines. There are no details for now, but it is expected that the second generation will be available in a hybrid, plug-in hybrid and fully electric configuration. Battery range is expected around 300 miles.

New 2023 Kia Niro EV cost

Since 2022 Kia Niro is $24,690 starting MSRP we can expect the price in the same range for the new 2023 Kia Niro EV crossover maybe closer to $30,000. Release date it is not known at this moment but it is expected at the end of 2022.
