After a long announcement campaign, Mercedes today officially unveiled the new Vision EQXX concept, described as the most efficient electric vehicle they have ever made.
Battery Range
It is a study developed in the last 18 months, with the Germans describing the new Mercedes Vision EQXX as “an exciting next step in the development of electric vehicles”, because the vehicle has a “spectacular” range and efficiency. In this regard, the range with a single charge of 100 kWh batteries is more than 1000 km or 625 miles.
The batteries are 50 percent smaller and 30 percent lighter than in the EQS 450+ series model.
The roof with solar cells providing of another 25 km range should also be mentioned here.
However, this is only part of the story as the Vision EQXX was developed with the help of the High Performance Powertrain group which is mainly focused on the development of technology and powertrains for Formula 1.
Mercedes also emphasizes an air resistance coefficient of only 0.17, a vehicle weight of 1750 kg (thanks to magnesium wheels, light brakes and the use of carbon fiber), tires with very low rolling resistance, and a wheelbase of 2800 mm.
Also, special attention is drawn to the huge 47.5-inch touch screen in the interior of this EV.
The electric motor has 150 kW / 204 hp, on the rear-wheel drive mode for this 2024 Mercedes Vision EQXX.

Release date for a new 2024 Mercedes Vision EQXX EV to be available for a pre-sale in the late 2023.
