Rolls-Royce has announced that it will stop producing models with SUS engines by the end of this decade. The company has definitely embarked on the path of full electrification and the launch of the Spectre model is expected in a few years. Now we have the opportunity to see photos of the camouflaged car for the first time.
The shape of the prototype looks similar to the Wraith model, but it is a technically completely different car. Spectre will use a new platform for luxury models, such as the new Ghost, Phantom and Cullinan.
The prototype has a rear door that opens in the opposite direction, and the side profile is more in the style of a coupe, with a sloping roof line and smaller glass surfaces in the rear. The Spectre will be an electric model, but will use the architecture of the future electric BMW i7.
The new Rolls-Royce will have a split front light group. The daytime running lights will be placed above the main lamps. The company has promised to keep its imposing front grille on electric models as well.
Technical specifications are not yet known, but it is speculated that the Spectre will have the same setup as the BMW iX M60. The second BMW M model after the i4 M50 will premiere at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. That model will have all-wheel drive, two electric motors and more than 600 hp.
