New Fiat Abarth 1000 SP specs

No technical details of the concept have been released, but we know it is based on the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider platform. The carbon fiber chassis, 1.75-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 240hp and six-speed dual-clutch transmission, which transmits power to the rear wheels, have been taken over from this model.

The original Fiat Abarth 1000 SP had a one-liter in-line unit with four cylinders and about 105 hp. It doesn’t sound like much, but the car weighed only 480kg. This combination made it a very competitive car with more powerful engines, so this model won several races in the mid-1960s, including the Monza and Nürburgring races.
