This week we have three prominent games – each a little weirder than the other. Borderlands gets their spin-off, Kirby swallows more than he can chew, and ghosts roam Tokyo.
Ghostwire Tokyo
March 25, 2022 | PC, PlayStation 5 |
From the creators of The Evil Within comes a new game that acts like horror, but is more action-oriented. Ghostwire Tokyo will send us on a mission to cleanse the Japanese metropolis of evil spirits. The main character Akito himself is obsessed with the spirit that gives him special powers, so he can perform kame-hame-ha attacks as in Dragon Ball.
Ghostwire Tokyo will be played first person and will have a number of skills that we will unlock for our character. It may sound like something you’ve seen a hundred times, but let’s just tell you one thing: in this game, cats are store owners and will probably eat you if you owe them anything.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land
March 25, 2022 | Nintendo Switch |
You would never expect Nintendo to make a game about the apocalypse, such as The Last of Us. But their new platformer Kirby and the Forgotten Land is actually an apocalyptic game that takes place in an overgrown city full of wild animals. Very cute animals, but don’t let that fool you – the beasts are really angry.
Fortunately, the main character Kirby has the opportunity to swallow his opponents and various things. The so-called Mouthful mode will even allow us to swallow the whole car, which means that Nintendo has finally made its GTA.
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands
March 25, 2022 | PC, PS5, PS4, XS, XBO |
Wonderful and strange things await us in Wonderlands, a spin-off title from the Borderlands series. In the fantastic world invented by Tiny Tina, we will travel through a forest of mushrooms and talk to dragons. Trolls, goblins and skeletons will be tamed with imaginary rifles, but also with magic that will make the gameplay even more colorful than in Borderlands. The novelty is that we will be able to assign several different classes to the characters at the same time.
Games like this are always fun in society, and Wonderlands will support the cooperative play of up to four players, modeled on its parent game.
