New Vivo X80 and vivo X80 Pro phone introduced

Over the past week, a lot of unofficial information has emerged regarding the company’s new line of mobile devices vivo which consists, for now, of two mobile phones, the X80 and X80 Pro. There was a lot of talk about the camera module, which is really impressive, but there were other rumors.

Now these mobile devices are finally in front of the audience and we know exactly what they bring. At this time, there is still no official information about the most powerful device in this series, the vivo X80 Pro +.

For starters, let’s see what the specifications are for the weaker of these two devices, vivo X80. Although the weakest in the entire series, this mobile phone is by no means slow or uninteresting. This device is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9000, and there are options with 8GB or 12GB of RAM, as well as 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB of storage space. The battery has a capacity of 4,500mAh and does not support wireless charging, but still supports fast charging of 80W.

As for the screen, this mobile phone has a Samsung E5 AMOLED display with a diagonal of 6.78 inches. This screen provides a refresh rate of 120Hz, but is not an LTPO2 type, so there is no option for a variable screen refresh rate compared to the content displayed on the phone. Finally, the front “punch hole” camera has a resolution of 32MP and is the same as the more expensive model.

More powerful than these two mobile phones, vivo X80 Pro, comes with options for Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 mobile chipset or MediaTek Dimensity 9000 mobile processor. In addition, there is 8GB or 12GB of RAM, as well as 256GB or 512GB of storage space. All this is rounded off by a 4,700mAh battery that supports 80W wired fast charging as well as 50W wireless fast charging.

The screen on this phone is 6.78 inches, the same as on the weaker counterpart, and it is also a Samsung E5 AMOLED screen with QHD + resolution, which this time is LTPO2 type and supports variable refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz depending on the content on the screen. And there’s the ultrasonic fingerprint reader located below this screen, which is contrary to this year’s trends where all the big manufacturers in the Android world are introducing mobile phones with a fingerprint sensor on the device’s power button.

 

The most interesting on this phone are definitely the cameras. In addition, this sensor has laser autofocus, optical image stabilization, as well as Pixel Shift technology.

The camera that provides 2X optical zoom is Sony IMX663, and has a resolution of 12MP and an aperture of f / 1.85, as well as optical image stabilization on the principle of gimbal. All this sounds very, very nice, and three colors are interesting – black, orange, and light blue. Depending on the color, users will get a device made of AG glass, vegan leather, or ceramic on the back. All in all, an intriguing device.
