About two weeks ago, Apple has unveiled its latest additions to the MacBook line, which includes 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro laptops are M1 Pro i M1 Max processors. iFixit has performed and released its demonstrations of these laptops, showing the internal components and changes that Apple has made with this generation.
The new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro laptops have an updated design, and Apple has really taken advantage of every inch of space inside the device. An X-ray of the interior shows that.

MacBook Pro Battery
The battery on the 16-inch model is a 99.6Wh battery, which is slightly less than the 99.8Wh battery on the 2019 Intel-based 16-inch MacBook Pro. A nice change is that the batteries are no longer glued to the chassis, but can be removed from simple sticky tabs.

MacBook Pro ports
The cable that connects the display panel is less rigid, which should facilitate repairs. The laptop ports, especially the three USB-C ports, the MagSafe port and the headphone jack, are modular. This should facilitate replacement in the event that these ports fail. However, the HDMI port and SD card slot are soldered to the main board. As expected, memory and storage are also not interchangeable by users.
All in all, Apple has made a number of improvements that benefit service technicians, but there are still sore points. For example, if the user replaces the screen, the laptop loses the True-Tone function, and the TouchID sensor no longer works if it is replaced. For these reasons, the iFixit rated the 16-inch M1 Pro MacBook Pro 4/10 for repairability.
