The new 2023 BMW S 1000 RR will have more power and better acceleration

One name was missing from BMW Motorrad’s list of updated models for 2023.

However, the latest information reveals that the S 1000 RR sports bike will get a long-awaited refresh.

As expected, the S 1000 RR will receive elements from the M 1000 RR, including the flaps.

However, the most important novelty is the power unit, which delivers 206.5 HP at 13,750 rpm – which is an increase compared to the 204 “horses” from last year’s model.

It is believed that the electronics package will also undergo certain minor changes. The ShiftCam unit with its unique VVT system will most likely remain unchanged. The S 1000 RR will have a faster driving feel than the outgoing model.

The model will also have a longer wheelbase (from 1,440 mm to 1,457 mm), similar to the M 1000 RR. On the other hand, the weight of the new S 1000 RR will still remain at 197 kg.

Most of the bodywork will remain unchanged, and with the aerodynamic flaps and color combination, there is no doubt that we will have a visually attractive motorcycle.

If the available information is to be believed, BMW will present the new S 1000 RR soon.
