“The Trip” is a new Netflix thriller with elements of black humor about spouses who want to kill each other.
“The Trip” movie plot
The story follows Lisa as Noomi Rapace and Lars as Aksel Hennie, a married couple who go to a secluded house to kill each other. He is a director who dreams of a great career but directs TV soap operas, and she is an actress who survives from shooting commercials for erectile dysfunction, although she hopes for a serious career in theater.
Their marriage is accompanied by many problems, Lisa cheats on Lars, and it doesn’t help that the spouses hate each other from the bottom of their souls. In addition, they are in debt but have paid life insurance. And so, when they decide to spend a quiet weekend in a secluded house, they actually plan to kill each other.
This Norwegian thriller, comedy is the work of Tommy Wirkolal, the “bad boy” of the Scandinavian film, and it ends with bloody confrontations due to which many will welcome the end of the film with their hands over their eyes.
You will not find deep and significant conversations about the meaning of life in the film, but there is no shortage of rifles, stun guns, knives. The film follows not only the struggle of the spouses but also uninvited guests against whom Lisa and Lars will have to join forces.
Tommy Wirkola is already a well-known director, mostly for his debut “Dead Snow”.
The film has earned the sympathy of viewers, who consider it very entertaining and a film that must be watched.
Review
I watched it a few nights ago and if you don’t like Kill Bill movie then don’t bother watching “The Trip”. There are a lot of blood I mean a LOT, but it has a nice plot, good story twist at the moment it’s funny. My rating for “The Trip” movie is 7 out of 10.
