The movie hit from the 90’s “Trainspotting” will arrive in a new variant, in the form of a series. Unfortunately, there is no Trainspotting 3.
Although there was information that a new Trainspotting movie was coming, they turned out to be untrue while the shooting of the series was confirmed. This time, the focus will be on one character, Begbie, and to put it mildly, the series will transform the book “The Blade Artist” written by the same author as “Trainspotting”, Irvine Welsh, into shots and scenes.
The news about the Trainspotting series came from the actor Robert Carlyle, who portrayed the main character, Begbie, in the legendary film from the nineties. Carlyle said that he talked to the author of the book with a lot of directors in London in order to continue “Trainspotting”.
“As you all know, there’s a book, ‘The Blade Artist,’ and it’s a work entirely about Begbie and his crazy story. It’s all still at a very early stage, but it looks pretty good.”
Irvine Welsh has written as many as five books about the characters from “Trainspotting”, and the mentioned “The Blade Artist” is the fourth in a row about the characters. His book deals with the life of Begbie, from his past to the present.
Carlyle first appeared as Begbie in 1996 in the film, and he reprised the role in the new part of the film that came out in 2017. Both films were directed by Danny Boyle.

Besides above mentioned Robert Carlyle the cast of Trainspotting series should be more or less similar as the movie T2 Trainspotting. I would love to see the main actors back in this new tv show, Ewan McGregor as Renton, Ewen Bremner as Spud and Jonny Lee Miller as Simon
Trainspotting Series Release Date
The Trainspotting series release date at the moment is not known right now but my guess is summer 2022.
