Of course, gamers know that this is a screen adaptation of the cult video game franchise from the PlayStation, and they are looking forward to seeing the light of day.

Tom Holland, as Nathan Drake and Mark Wahlberg as the witty Sally, will introduce the audience to an adventure in which Nathan Drake becomes a treasure hunter, revealing one of the greatest mysteries of history in an epic action that will take over the world. “
The project was announced a decade ago. Nathan Fillion (Castle, The Suicide Squad) and Mark Wahlberg (No Pain No Gain, Deepwater) were announced for the lead role in the film, and finally Tom Holland (Spider-Man: Far From Home) got the role.
It was the same with the directors, the project announced David O. Russell ( Joy, American Hustle, Silver Linings Playbook, The Fighter), Shawn Levy (Night at the Museum, Free Guy)… Finally Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland, Zombieland: Double Tap) sat in the director’s chair.
The original script was supposed to be signed by Joe Carnahan but Art Marcum and Matt Holloway (Men In Black International, Bumblebee) took it upon themselves.
So Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) and his mentor Victor Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg) will take us on exciting adventures. The trailer begins with scenes from the third game Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception in which we see the first meeting and meeting of two friends when Nathan tries to steal a relic from a museum. There Sully tells Nathan that in order to find her brother Samuel he will have to go in search of a mysterious galley.

The visual identity of the game is respected, as well as the appearance of Tom Holland and the scenes that were taken from the video game (rushing on the roofs, plane crash…). But for now, it’s hard for me to see a sarcastic hidden treasure hunter from the game in the trailer, which made the franchise different from Tomb Raider, with which they compare it.
Funny there is no Elena character in the cast list but there is no doubt she will be in the movie. When asked whether Elena was integral to the storyline of Uncharted, North replied: “Yeah, I think so!”
UNCHARTED Release Date
The UNCHARTED movie starring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg, in movie theaters in the United States on February 18, 2022.
Tom Holland in this movie trailer really nailed those “oh god!” and “ah crap” lines like Nathan Drake does in the games. And the plane sequence is almost verbatim the same as uncharted 3. I’m not even mad about it. And you know Tom Holland is gonna deliver on his performance cause he is a very good actor. Can’t wait!
